Honoring American troops is a tradition in country music, especially during times of war. Country superstar George Strait recently helped honor the troops at Fort Campbell in Kentucky with a special free concert for members of the 101st Airborne and their families to say thank you for their service. On a sadder note, the music world lost an icon last week with the passing of the legendary Ray Charles.
