CHIM tries to bring LOK overseas for a secret wedding, thus fortuitously causing WAH to suffer a miscarriage midway through her pregnancy. This is indeed a very serious blow to WAH. ON has bought a shabby hut on a stretch of abandoned farmland, with which he hopes he no longer has to cope with any kind of rent increase. HONG is so grateful to ON for yielding up the HOS flat to him and LAN, and would like to pass on all their savings to him as a token of thanks. LAN rejects his idea at once insisting that the money will come in handy when their daughter is old enough to join a study tour. Consumed with rage, KIU finally reveals to HONG and LAN how ON has been suffering with sudden blindness. HONG and LAN are incredibly shocked and ashamed to hear the news. CHUNG-WAI asks KIU about her relationship with ON, but unfortunately for him, KIU is still unable to choose between him and ON……
