On any given afternoon, you'll find Kalen, Jamar and Shira Nash playing in their "activity attic." It's a white shell of a space that could use some pizzazz. On top of that, Kalen's bedroom is at one end of the room, so he needs some privacy. Enter designer Chris Anderson with a design plan to transform this bland room into a vibrant playspace, with a beautiful wood-and-rice-paper door for Kalen's bedroom, mats on the floor for roughhousing, a place for Shira's dress-up clothes and a beautifully painted orange sunset all around.
