Asta Paredes

Asta Paredes is an actress and filmmaker based in New York City. She is most known for her leading film roles in Troma Entertainment's Return to Nuke Em High Vol 1 & 2, and eOne Films release Sociopathia. Her acting foundation was training at the prestigious University of Minnesota/ Guthrie BFA Actor Training Program as well as study in London at the Globe Theater, the London International School for Performing Arts, UCB Imporv training center and with various teaching artists. Thru her classical training she has appeared onstage in various roles including: the Princess of France in Love's Labour's Lost, Katerina in Slavs! and Ursa Minor in Tiny Disasters at the Guthrie Theater. In NYC, she has appeared onstage in Jeffrey Baker's experimental The Pretenders as well as Joelle Arqueros' Sex, Relationships & Sometimes Love. In the Spring of 2014, Asta along with RTNH co-star Clay von Carlowitz, successfully raised funds thru Indiegogo to produce and star in a special two night performance of Danny and the Deep Blue Sea by John Patrick Shanley at the Robert Moss Theater directed by Meg Grujon. She currently runs Abandoned House Productions along with frequent collaborator (and husband) Clay von Carlowitz. Under this banner, she recently completed her writer/directorial debut, short film, The Slightest Touch.
