From Wikipedia Alta Allen (born Alta Crowin) (September 6, 1904 – July 24, 1998) was an American actress. Allen was born in Oakland, California in 1904 to a Scottish mother and a West Coast "character man" father. Her first professional performance at a theatre in Oakland as Beth in Little Women She was ten years old at the time. Allen made several films in the 1920s, including Skirts in 1921 and The Marriage Cheat in 1922. Her final screen appearance was in The Set-Up in 1926. She worked for two major studios, Universal and Fox.
