Rita Puspa Zakaria

Rita Puspa Zakaria (born 20 November 1967) is an Indonesian actress turned politician. She was born on 20 November 1967 in Bengkalis, Riau, as the fifth child from the seven children to Zakaria bin Muhammad Amin (March 2, 1913 – January 1, 2006) and Siti Zainab (December 31, 1935 – August 21, 2014). She has a three brother and three sisters. Her brothers were Zulkarnain Zakaria (born 17 August 1957), Nukman Zakaria (born 20 June 1960), and Gamal Abdul Nasir Zakaria (born 22 June 1965). While her sisters were Rinie Yuslina Fairuz Zakaria (25 July 1964 – 14 March 2021), Nida Suryani Zakaria (born 15 April 1971), and Sri Purnama Zakaria (born 20 October 1973). Zakaria completed high school education, she then continued her education at Politeknik Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Padang from 1986 until 1989. During her college year, she started her acting career by making appearance as an extra in Sabar Dulu Dong...! (1989). She then began working as a civil servant on March 1990. Zakaria married to Muhammad Yahman (born 23 February 1968) in January 28, 2003. The couple had a three children named Erin Kartika Puspa (born 16 November 2003), Muhammad Asyrof Al-Ghifari (born 5 January 2005), and Assyifa Kaila Saidah (born 16 April 2008).
